Hey y'all
I'm Jake Rosanno, a Product Designer with 4yrs of experience based in Austin, Tx. I focus on business management platforms for B2B/SaaS and also have experience with consumer mobile and web.
During 2022-2024 I worked for Lumistry, a $43M business management platform modernizing independent pharmacy. The work was large, complex and gave me the opportunity to own design for multiple features including:
A multi-modal messaging tool
A multi-tiered B2B through B2C onboarding
Lots of database visualization
Main dashboard
After working at Lumistry I wanted to double down on my management platform and AI skills. I worked with a local non-profit, Austin Bat Refuge to develop Refuge, an animal rehab management platform which I built using Figma, V0, and Windsurf.
Working with Austin Bat Refuge inspired me to work on other 0→1 initiatives; there’s so much opportunity for impact. So I joined an early-stage B2C startup to develop an MVP to secure investor funding.
In my next role, I’m looking for in-depth work on a business management platform. I want to leverage AI and Design system skills to help small businesses thrive.
Outside of design, I’m obsessed with community. Growing up in Austin I’ve seen lots of successful local businesses and the community that comes from the relationships built in the independent sector. That’s why, before becoming a designer, I spent 15+ years working at high-performing independent restaurants and venues across Austin (Radio, ABGB, Cenote, Jo’s Coffee). I really care about what independent businesses and venues can do to create rich environments and connect us all.
